Our Beginnings…
River Valley was founded in 2000 by Dr. Linkenheimer and his wife, Kim. River Valley Veterinary Hospital started its journey in a 500 square foot building, and then relocated in 2014, two miles down the road to a 10,000 square foot facility. We are one of the few veterinary hospitals left that is family owned and operated. River Valley Veterinary Hospital proudly serves any canine or feline friend who needs our help. Located in the quaint town of Springdale, we are just minutes away from the Route 28 expressway and the Pennsylvania turnpike.
Our surrounding areas include Cheswick, Oakmont, Fox Chapel, Natrona Heights, West Deer, East Deer and Frazer, PA. We’d be grateful to have the opportunity to serve you and your pet! Meet Our Veterinarians
Dr. Linkenheimer (Owner & Founder)
Dr. Linkenheimer is passionate about helping pets live their best lives. His desire to become a veterinarian began at a very young age. Together with his wife Kim, they opened River Valley more than twenty years ago. Since then thousands of animals have received compassionate and personal care from Dr. Linkenheimer and the team.
Dr. Honse Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Honse has always loved caring for animals. Becoming a veterinarian was a natural fit for her. Dr Honse takes pride in providing the best medical care to her furry patients. She enjoys taking the time to educate pet owners on effective care techniques that provide the best outcome for their pet.
Dr. Miller Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Miller is our newest addition to the River Valley family. She is a lifelong animal lover who always knew she would work with animals. Dr. Miller has a passion for educating pet owners and helping to strengthen the human-animal bond.
We help by preventing pet health issues and being there for you when your pet needs medical attention.
